I made another Portabellopixie Peasant Top for Riley. I love this pattern by Sandi Henderson. I used Moda fabrics by the designer, Momo. It’s from the “Wonderland” collection. For the pants, I used Simplicity 3765 and added a ruffle to the bottom hem. This made them too long. I don’t know what I was thinking. I don’t like how big ruffles look on the bottom of pants. I like a smaller ruffle that’s more like an accent. I might hem them, but we’ll see. Can you believe the size of these Cabbage Flowers? They’re gorgeous. And, yes, I did ask before taking pictures on some strangers front lawn.

Leg Warmers
I found these knee socks at Juicy Couture in the mall. I turned them into leg warmers for Riley. They turned out cute! Haven’t gotten a good picture with them on her yet.
Dominic is here!
I made this little set for my nephew, Dominic. He is such a cutie! It includes 2 burp clothes and 1 wipes case. I digitized all of the embroidery designs. Tried to match the design on the green fabric as closely as possible. Thought it turned out nice. Thanks for looking.
Baby Brookelyn is here!
I made a few things for Baby Brookelyn. She is my my new niece. I made a Tag Blanket with different textures, 2 burp pads, and 1 bib. The designs came from Planet Applique. I thought the red and black would look very classy with these designs. Mommy and Grandma liked them and that’s all that matters.
Matching Shirts
Hearts and Crossbones
I embellished this tank top and pair of leggings. My dear friend came to visit with her girls this summer and one of her daughters had on an outfit that inspired this. I love how it came out. She gets compliments on it whenever she wears it. I also found the cutest pair of Vans with matching skulls on them. My older daughter has recently informed me that skulls are no longer in. Sad day.
American Girl
I made these PJ’s, Slippers, and Sleeping bag for Lexi’s American Girl Doll. I used McCall’s M5019. All of this matches some PJ’s and a robe that I made for Lexi. Haven’t seen her doll for awhile. Hmmm…
Lexi’s Wall Board Thing-y
We got the idea from Pottery Barn…but didn’t have it in our budget to purchase it from there. So we made our own.
- First we took that Peg Board stuff, cut it and painted it (and the accessories that we purchased) a green that will match her room.
- Next is a Cork Board covered in a teal fabric. She’ll use push pins.
- The next piece is a metallic magnetic board
- Second row is a piece of Cork Board that we covered in batting and fabric. Then we added the ribbon and covered buttons.
- The middle piece is a mirror.
- Another piece of Peg Board. Cut to size and painted white.
- Last row has a Dry Erase board
- Cork Board
- Last piece is a fabric covered piece of Cork Board.
I should go take a picture of it now on the wall. She loves it. Now I would really love to frame it out with moulding.
