Tonight I want to highlight my sister-in-law’s Etsy site.  She makes these Amazing clips.  You can clip them to your purse, scarf, hair, blouse… wherever you want!  So head on over to her Etsy page and pick one up.  These are just a few.

Bathroom Towels for Marilyn

img_8113b

My daughter’s friend in Las Vegas was having a birthday, so I put this little bathroom towel set together for her.  Her mom was so happy because Marilyn just got a bedroom with a bathroom in it and it went perfect in there.

Umbrella

img_8537b

I’m pretty sure that I picked up this umbrella at the Dollar Store.  I just added my daughter’s name to it and WOW, what a difference!  Not sure if she even has it anymore.  Oh well, it was only a $1.  Thanks for looking.

Chi Chai Monchan

image1

About:  A fun-loving little boy monkey with a whirly-curly tail, Chi Chai Monchan lives on a small tropical island in the South Seas where he spends his days climbing trees and eating bananas.

This little guy is a Sanrio character (Hello Kitty).  A few years ago, my daughter was totally into it.  First, I took this old water bottle kozy, ripped it apart and added the design.  Then, I stitched it back up.  I think it used to be purple?  Lexi was given this backpack by our Foster Agency in Vegas.  I added her initials and the design.  Lastly, I made this little zipper pouch for her backpack.  It’s done all in-the-hoop.  I will be happy to post it for anyone that wants to use it.  It’s a pretty dense design though.  Took for-evaaa to stitch out.  Thanks for looking!

Baby Boy Gifts

img_8147b

I made these for my friend’s baby.  Obviously a boy, obviously his name was Xavier.  :D  I matched his crib bedding.

Made the burp clothes.  Bought some blank bibs at Babies R Us and embroidered on them.  Made the little tag blanket.  Thanks for looking.

Sam I am

We all dressed up as a Dr. Seuss Character a couple of years ago at work.  I was Sam I am.  I made this little purse to put all of my candy in that I would pass out to the judges.  ;)  Yes, we won.  Unfortunately, I don’t have any pictures of my costume.  Darn.

Diner Girl

img_8587b

I made this little Diner Girl costume for Lexi to wear for Halloween back in ‘07. I designed and embroidered the shirt.  I made the “pillow case” bag to go with it. Designed and appliqued the bag as well.  This costume was so fun to make.  Can you believe I found the shoes at Payless for like $12!!  Great find!

John Deere

img_8698b

My friend Becky had a little boy and I wasn’t able to make him a gift when he was a little baby. I had the privilege of getting to see Becky, her sister Megan, and Becky’s son, William, back in ‘07. William’s nickname is Silly Willy. I couldn’t pass up this John Deere fabric.

I made this pillow “travel” set for him to go back and forth from Grandma’s house. It’s a pillow, blanket, and backpack to keep it all together. The pillow has this John Deere fleece on one side and denim on the other. I used my sewing machine to stitch “Silly Willy” on the denim side.

Then I made the blanket with the same fleece on one side and flannel backed satin on the other side. I digitized the John Deere logo and put William’s name under in the same font that would have said, “John Deere”.

Using my backpack tutorial I made him this fully lined backpack. I digitized his name using Embird with Font Engine. Thanks for looking!

Kitchen Table Update

Here is the table.  It’s finally done. I decided not to seal it.  The Home Depot guys convinced me that the enamel paint will harden and be just fine.  If not, I have tons of paint left for later. :)  I sanded it to distress it a little.  I’m not super excited about it.  It will either grow on me, or I’ll get the brush out and paint over where I sanded it. Thanks for looking!
