Wanted to add to my original post:
I took the bases off. Yuck. And gave them their proper base tonight. They look so much better. I need patience. If I would have just waited a day, I would have saved time and money.

I got to Michael’s at 8:50pm, so I only had 10 minutes to gather my supplies. It was too late to go anywhere else to find substitutes for anything, so I was stuck with what I found. Today I went to Joann’s and found round bases for the bottoms and they are drying as I type. Going to try and knock those others off and put on the round ones.
